THE KILLERS
The Killers formed in 2002 and their sound, a captivating mix of modern electronic music and rock influences from the 80s and the 90s, carried many people, the band`s first album, “Hot Fuss” having sold almost 5 million copies! Promoted by hits like “Somebody told me”, “Mr. Brightside” and “Smile Like You Mean It”, or „Human”, The Killers rapidly became one of the most successful bands of the last years.
WHITE LIES
Formed in 2007, the British band White Lies are considered by fans and the musical media the succesors of Joy Division, their new wave and post-punk sound being making them comparable to other renowned bands such as Talking Heads, Editors, Interpol or The Killers.
White Lies had an incredible start at the beginning of 2008 with the song "Death", which was chosen by BBC Radio 1 as "The Hottest Record in the World!" and also reached the first place in the UK Chart. The success they gained with their first studio material – „To Lose My Life” - propelled White Lies on the stages of some of the most famous European festivals, such as Isle of Wight, T in the Park, Oxegen, Benicassim, Coachella and Shockwaves NME Awards Tour, aside Florence and The Machine, Friendly Fires and Glasvegas.
PATRICE
Patrice Bart-Williams was born in Germany and his childhood was powerfully influenced by artists such Burning Spear, Fela Kuti, Bob Marley, Jimi Hendrix or Bob Dylan. He started writing his own songs by the age of 12 and he gradually defined a personal musical style, by combining Jamaican reggae and dub rhythms with acoustic guitar, funk and pseudo-jazz sounds. With lyrics build on a powerful social structure, that talk about love, rebellion, spirituality, life and death, superhits like “Soulstorm”, “Up In My Room”, “Everyday Good”, “You Always You” or “Clouds” rapidly gained the people`s attention, thus propelling Patrice as a genuine exponent of the new reggae generation on festivals such as Summerjam, Hurricane, Summercase, Frequency or OpenAir St. Gallen.
SNAILS
Snails started as a band band with a classic rock-n-roll formula - guitar, rhythm guitar, drums and bass - back in 1997, doing covers from the 1960-70 (Beatles, Mamas and Papas, CCR, Rolling Stones, Animals, Simon and Garfunkel). In 2004, Snails participated at a young bands contest, won the first prize and the privilege to sign a three albums contract with a domestic label. After releasing the first two - „Undeva” (2005) and „Nu-mi pasa” (2007), Snails is working on the third between concerts and festivals.
